Target List Fit Report

Is your college soccer list realistic? Find out school by school.

Most families build a target list from names they know. The Target List Fit Report checks every school on your list against where your athlete plays today, what each school's admitted students score, and what it really costs. Then it tells you what to do next.

Most target lists are built on guesses.

Families add schools because of a campus visit, a friend's kid or a famous name. Nobody checks whether the soccer level, the admissions bar and the price actually fit their athlete. So a lot of emails go to coaches who were never going to recruit them, and the schools that would have said yes never hear from you.

You don't need more schools. You need to know which ones are worth your time.

What's in the report

  • Two honest reads on every school

Soccer fit (Likely realistic, Possibly realistic, or Likely too high) from the school's division and conference, your athlete's club league and team, and their real playing time. Academic fit (Safe, Target or Reach) from test scores against each school's admitted students and GPA against how selective it is.

  • The reasoning, in plain numbers

For example: SAT 1240 is 270 points below the 25th percentile. No vague scores out of 100.

  • A full breakdown for every school

Admission rate, test-score ranges, sticker price, average net price, athletic scholarship rules for that division, distance from home, and coach contacts where we have them.

  • Better-fit schools to add

For every school that's out of reach, we search every men's or women's program within 300 miles of home for one that fits on soccer and academics.

  • Your next 90 days

The five coaches to email first, in order, and a month-by-month plan built around your list.

  • What each school really costs

Your list ranked by four-year net price, with the schools whose sticker price hides a big discount called out.

  • Your list as visit trips

Schools grouped into road trips from home, so one weekend covers several campuses.

Example: one school from a sample report

Rice University

NCAA Division I · American Conference · Houston, TX

Soccer: Possibly realisticAcademic: Reach
  • · Plays in a D1 non-Power conference. The athlete plays ECNL RL and gets regular minutes.
  • · SAT 1240 is 270 points below this school's 25th percentile (1510).
  • · Admits 8% of applicants. At this selectivity, a 3.6 GPA is a reach even with a coach's support.

Next step

Keep it only if the coach replies with real interest. In the first email, ask whether admissions supports recruits with your athlete's profile.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your athlete. Club league and team, honest playing time, GPA, test scores if they have them, and your ZIP code. About 5 minutes.
  2. Add your list. 3 to 25 schools, the ones you're already thinking about.
  3. Pay and get your report. Checkout is handled by Stripe. Every school is checked against current data, and your report is ready in minutes, with the link emailed to you.

Built on real data and real coaches

  • Admissions, test-score and cost data from the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard
  • Scholarship rules for every division: NCAA D1, D2 and D3, NAIA and junior college
  • A directory of 2,700+ college soccer programs, with coach contacts for most of them
  • Shaped by what 350+ college coaches say gets a reply

What it isn't: a prediction. No report can promise a roster spot. The strongest signal is always a coach writing back. This report helps you spend your time on the schools most likely to do that.

A good fit if

  • You're building or trimming a list, at any point in high school
  • You have a list and aren't sure it's realistic
  • You want a second opinion before spending money on camps and visits

Not the right fit if

  • Your athlete has already committed
  • You want someone to call coaches for you

Questions parents ask

My athlete hasn't taken the SAT or ACT yet. Is it still worth it?
Yes. Soccer fit, cost, scholarships, better-fit schools, visit trips and next steps all work without scores. Academic fit uses admission rate and GPA until you have scores.
Is this only for soccer?
Yes. Every part of it is built for college soccer: the division rules, the club leagues and the coach data.
Does a coach or school endorse this?
No. The report uses public data and what college coaches say in their own interviews. No school or coach is affiliated with Path To Sign.
Can I get a refund?
No. The report is built as soon as you pay, so all sales are final. If something goes wrong on our side, email todd@pathtosign.com and we will make it right.

Spend this season on schools that can say yes.
